Cincinnati VR machine tools : all the french know-how

An authentic and enduring industrial history

Cincinnati VR dates back to 1946, when a manufacturer named Chomienne launched a machine tool business in Villeurbanne. In 1959, the company was renamed Cincinnati-Chomienne following its partial acquisition by the American giant Cincinnati. After several restructurings (Cincinnati Milacron, then taken over by executives in 1992 to become Cincinnati DCLF, then Cincinnati CA), the company was finally relaunched in 2008 by Guy Vincent and Patrice Rivier under the name Cincinnati VR, relocating production to Chambost-Allières. Today, this SME embodies the excellence of French craftsmanship, boasting 100% French design and manufacturing and remaining the last French manufacturer of professional drills.

An extensive range of Cincinnati VR machine tools

Cincinnati VR has a complete and innovative range of over 50 products, including:

  • Column drills, bench drills, automatic drills, drill-milling machines,
  • Drill and tap machines, with capacities up to M24,
  • Sensitive sharpeners, as well as fluorescent drills and fluorescent taps,
  • Digitised machines with touchscreen control.

Some machines are available with options such as variable speed drives, watering systems (standard or micro-spray), multi-spindle systems, and multi-station assemblies suitable for modern workshops.

Cincinnati VR machine tools : Touchscreens for an intuitive interface

Drawing on its experience in machining centers, Cincinnati VR has upgraded its range by integrating Proface touch screens (IP65) with embedded controllers, ideal even in harsh environments such as foundries. These screens make the interface intuitive – operators can easily set the rotation speed, track the number of cycles completed, production time, and differentiate between accepted and rejected parts… all in less than 15 minutes.

Strong technical support and long-term after-sales service

Cincinnati VR has a dedicated design office that develops customised mechanical, electrical and automation solutions. Its after-sales service is supported by an extensive inventory of spare parts, enabling it to service machines that are over 30 years old, whether they are from the Cincinnati Milacron, Cincinnati CA or Machine Limited era.

A demanding and loyal clientele

The robustness, reliability and durability of Cincinnati VR machines (where are often in use for more than 25 years) have attracted leading organisations such as government departments, prestigious universities, training centres and companies such as Airbus, Safran, Thales, PSA, Renault, L’Oréal, Dior, Cartier, Rolex and CERN.
